Advocacy
Alabama Primary Health Care Association regularly monitors policy and legislation that can affect Community Health Centers and other methods of primary care to Alabama’s underserved population. APHCA’s role in policy is to create relationships with policymakers and provide them with the knowledge necessary to develop policies that will improve quality and access to care to Alabamians. APHCA’s network of health center advocates are kept up-to-date on state and federal issues through different tools used to help inform members of changes in issues impacting Health Centers.
