Audience: This training focuses on key areas in Governance, Finance, Operations, and Quality. Attendees will: Receive clarity on the roles and responsibilities of a health center board, describe characteristics of high-performing boards, and outline strategies for health center leadership and staff to partner successfully with their board; Learn the key components of HC billing, collection, and reimbursement and deepen their understanding of the Sliding Fee Discount Program while addressing financial barriers to care for the patient population; Learn to maintain strong financial systems with budgeting, financial management, and control policies; Review key reports required for regulatory requirements, fiscal management, and transparency; Learn what to expect during HRSA’s operational site visit (OSV) and how to prepare for a successful OSV and a state of continuous compliance; Review how to staff a health center and explore considerations around building a key management team, non-clinical staff, and clinical staff, including staffing mix, productivity, and different care team models; Learn how to develop, manage, and maintain collaborations and contracts including formal contracts, referral agreements, and sub-awards; Review critical clinical quality data measures and other operational statistics that are the foundation for any HC quality program; and  Provide a compliance overview that includes quality assurance and quality improvement activities and policies.
