This one-hour session is the fourth training in the lunch and learn series. TAP-in will provide an overview of the history of HIV Testing and the most up-to-date approaches for providing HIV testing. We will touch on law requirements related to HIV testing process during this session, including engaging parents to enhance testing in young clients. We will review some of the barriers that continue to impede HIV testing and strategies to address them. Participants will receive patient education resources for different testing results and understand roles and responsibilities during the testing process and with a special emphasis on ensuring rapid linkage to HIV treatment and/or prevention services.
