Understanding the Basics of Community Health Centers – for Rural Health Providers

Audience: Rural Health Providers

Description: Attendees will receive a broad overview of the Health Center Program and learn about the background of what a health center is and how to become part of the Health Center Program. In addition, attendees will learn about the scope of the project and the five key elements including sites, services, providers, service area, and target population, and provide strategies for determining a health center’s scope. APHCA will discuss the roles and responsibilities of a health center board and describe the characteristics of high-performing boards.
